AKINA is a modern restaurant and lounge characterized by elegance and mystique portraying a modern interpretation of Japanese culture and design. Our colour palette consisted of dark hues including red, black, and brass. We utilized reflective and holographic material to enhance the modern concept of the space. The use of rounded edges and circular shapes was inspired by water design elements giving the illusion of movement in the space. These design elements were inspired by Japanese symbolism of water which signifies purity and cleansing. The use of chrome and brass in the space offers a sense of elegance and sophistication which aligns seamlessly with our concept of a maximalist and opulent design.
